Each licensee is required to complete eight (8) hours of approved continuing education credits between July 1, 2007 and June 10, 2008 in order to renew their license on active status for the real estate license year 2007-2008. Four of those hours must be the current NC Real Estate Update while the other four can be any approved elective of your choice.  Beginning July 1, 2007, if you are a Broker-in-Charge you are required to take the NC Mandatory Update Course and a 4-hour Mandatory Broker-in-Charge Annual Review Course.    If you have not completed your hours from a previous year, please call the North Carolina Real Estate Commission @ 919-875-3700 to find out what you are required to complete in order to become active.
